My girlfriend, Chelsea is having a baby soon. It's she and her husband's third daughter and we wanted to do something special for her. So instead of your typical baby shower, we threw a spa shower for her last night.
I think everyone had a great time. My favorite part (obviously) was the food. I wanted to do a fondue buffet so bad so that's what I did. :)
A picture of the full buffet table.
Cheese fondue served with blanched vegetables, ham, and italian bread.
A chai seasoned caramel sauce (in the white fondue pot) served with pound cake, gingersnaps, pretzels, and granny smith apples. Yummy!
Chocolate ganache (in the metal fondue pot in the back) served with fresh fruit such as mango, pineapple, and strawberries. Coconut cookies and Lorna Doone shortbread.
In addition to the fondue, I also had cream puffs filled with chicken salad, and cucumber canapes. So delicious!
Recipes to follow!!

Hope you didn't get the poor unsuspecting mother-to-be "fondue-drunk" :) Oh...happy memories! Miss you tons. The shower looks beautiful. I know it was fun.
That looks so good! Too bad I am not pregnant, you could come to Guam and do a baby shower for me! It all looks so yummy!
Wow, what a great idea and everything looks so nice!!
You are soooo amazing Suzanne. A 24 hour wedding and then a fondue baby shower, all in a week! We need you to move home and help all of us with your talent! We sure miss you!
That looks so fun! How do you serve that, do people just pick and dip each thing before they go sit down, or does everyone just stand around the table dipping and talking?
Wendy, you can't see, but I had a stack of my nice plates on another table. I wound up putting spoons in the fondue pots so people could skewer some fruit and cake or whatever, then spoon the sauces on their plate. Everyone sat in the living room to eat and visit.
What a great job! You are such a thoughtful friend! :)
